A new young adult series is coming from the creative minds over at The Bay. Original series creator Gregori J. Martin, along with former General Hospital executive producer Wendy Riche, are creating a new series called yA that centers around twins Frankie and Regan Sander. They are portrayed by Bianca and Chiara D’Ambrosio, who relocate from a rural area on the Central Coast. They are transplanted into the sunny, waterfront multi-million dollar fictional town of Bay City, California. The girls are quickly enmeshed into the cultural awakening of a sometimes cruel new world, along with dealing with a new social environment and high school angst. 

According to Deadline, the project is being written by both Martin and Riche. Principal photography is slated to begin next month. The D’Ambrosio twins are best known for playing three year old Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless along with appearing on The Closer, Freak Out, and Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.
